New Delhi, March 5 (HS). After trading with gains for 4 consecutive trading days, the domestic stock market fell victim to decline today. Today’s trading also started with weakness. During the day’s trading, buyers made buying pressure and took the stock market into the green for some time, but most of the time there was selling pressure in the stock market. After the entire day’s trading, Sensex closed 0.26 percent lower and Nifty closed 0.22 percent lower.

In today’s trading, maximum selling took place in shares of FMCG and IT sectors. Along with this, the metal index also closed with weakness. Buying continued in shares of Public Sector Enterprise, PSU Bank, Automobile, Energy, Pharmaceuticals and Realty sectors. There was pressure in the broad market today, due to which the BSE Midcap index closed with a decline of 0.17 percent. Similarly, Smallcap Index also ended today’s trading with a fall of 0.63 percent.

Today, due to the weakness of the market, the wealth of stock market investors decreased by more than Rs 50 thousand crore. The market capitalization of BSE listed companies declined to Rs 393.17 lakh crore (provisional) after today’s trading. Their market capitalization on the last trading day i.e. Monday was Rs 393.75 lakh crore. In this way, investors suffered a loss of about Rs 58 thousand crore from today’s trading.

Today, there was active trading in 3,933 shares in BSE in the day’s trading. Of these, 1,266 shares closed with gains, while 2,575 shares closed with a decline, while 92 shares closed without any movement. There was active trading in 2,202 shares in NSE today. Of these, 691 shares closed in the green after earning profit and 1,511 shares closed in the red after incurring a loss. Similarly, out of 30 shares included in Sensex, 11 shares closed with gains and 19 shares closed with decline. Out of the stocks included in Nifty, 19 stocks closed in the green mark and 31 stocks closed in the red mark.

BSE Sensex opened today with a weakness of 104.87 points at the level of 73,767.42 points. As soon as trading started, bears put pressure on the market, due to which this index kept falling continuously. Due to continuous selling, this index fell by 460.04 points to 73,412.25 points. However, after this the buyers tried to create buying pressure, due to which the index recovered by more than 500 points from the lower level and reached 73,915.54 points with a gain of 43.25 points. After this, due to selling pressure once again this index fell back into the red mark. After the whole day’s buying and selling, the Sensex closed at 73,677.13 points with a weakness of 195.16 points.

Like the Sensex, NSE’s Nifty started trading today with a fall of 34.35 points at the level of 22,371.25 points. In early trading, this index also fell by 136.45 points to reach 22,269.15 points due to dominance of sellers. After this, when buying started in the market, this index jumped by 145 points from the low level and reached 22,416.90 points with a gain of 11.30 points. However, this situation did not last long. After some time, selling took over the market, due to which the index fell into the red again. After the day’s trading, Nifty fell by 49.30 points and ended today’s trading at the level of 22,356.30 points.

After buying and selling throughout the day, Tata Motors, Bharti Airtel 3.12 percent, Bajaj Auto 1.76 percent, ONGC 1.63 percent and SBI 1.54 percent among the big stocks of the stock market joined the list of today’s top 5 gainers. . Bajaj Finserv joined the list of today’s top 5 losers with a weakness of 4.25 percent, Bajaj Finance 4.21 percent, Nestle 1.95 percent, Infosys 1.88 percent and SBI Life Insurance 1.76 percent.
