Prime Minister Narendra Modi had already said that 6G service will be launched in India by the end of this decade. Even at the time of 5G launch, PM Modi had talked about starting preparations for 6G. While presenting the 6G vision document, PM Modi said, this decade is India’s Tech-ade. He said, India’s telecom and digital model is smooth, secure, transparent, trusted and tested. PM Modi said these things on the occasion of the inauguration of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Area Office and Innovation Center.
Some special things related to the vision document of 6G
The Bharat 6G vision document has been prepared by the Technology Innovation Group. This group was started in November, 2021. This group includes people from various ministries and departments, research and development institutions, academics, telecom service providers and industry. The task of the group is to prepare the roadmap for 6G launch in India.
Know about 6G test bed
Let us tell that along with the 6G vision document, PM Modi has also launched 6G test bed. With its help, industry, academic institutes and other platforms will be able to test the developing technology. The government says that India’s 6G vision document and 6G test bed will enable the country to innovate, build capacity and test new technology rapidly.
6G service will be launched by the end of this decade!
In August last year, PM Modi said at the end of the Smart India Hackathon that the government is preparing for the 6G launch, which will be launched by the end of this decade. Along with this, PM Modi asked the youth and innovators to take advantage of this opportunity and appealed to find new solutions. Let us tell that 5G service was launched in India on October 1 last year. The Department of Telecommunication had received a bid of Rs 1.50 lakh crore in the 5G spectrum auction.
