If we talk about Lok Sabha elections, now three months are left for the elections, but the seat sharing formula in the Indian alliance in Uttar Pradesh for the Lok Sabha elections is not being decided. Actually, Congress wants that it should be given seats on the basis of its performance in UP in 2009, whereas Akhilesh is not ready for this. The message has already been given by SP that it is the main opposition party in UP and whatever seats will be given, it will give it from itself. The situation is that on one hand, efforts are being made in the Congress to strengthen its support base by conducting yatras across the state, while on the other hand, an attempt has been made to convey the message through Saryu Snan in Ayodhya. At the same time, harsh statements against each other are also coming to the fore between SP and Congress. Questions are being raised on the intentions of Congress by the party leaders, although Akhilesh Yadav has been avoiding saying anything directly.

If we talk about Indi alliance for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, then only Congress will benefit from Akhilesh joining Congress. At present only Rae Bareli seat is with Congress. If there is seat sharing with Samajwadi Party, then Congress will get the benefit of its vote bank somewhere. If there is no alliance then the path will not be easy for Congress. The organization’s presence on the ground is negligible. Congress also has a shortage of leaders.

On the other hand, BJP’s organization is in the strongest position at present. This time too, it is not going to be an easy contest for Congress in Rae Bareli. At the same time, BSP is also in a very weak position. It was only because of the alliance with SP that it could win 10 seats in 2019. The condition of BSP is that it has only one MLA in the assembly. Muslim voters have made their stand clear in the last assembly elections that they are with SP only. In such a situation, the command of seat sharing is with Akhilesh Yadav only.
