Mumbai Indian actress Deepika Padukone will present the award at the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) to be held on Sunday. Padukone, 38, shared the list of presenters released by BAFTA on her Instagram story on Tuesday. He wrote on the story, Gratitude. Padukone’s co-presenters on the occasion will be Andrew Scott, Dua Lipa, Cate Blanchett, Adjoa Andoh, Idris Elba, Hugh Grant, Lily Collins, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Indira Varma, Himesh Patel, Emma Corrin and Gillian Anderson. The actress had given a live performance of RRR’s hit Telugu song Naatu Naatu at the Academy Awards last year, which won the Oscar in the Best Original Song category.
According to BAFTA’s official website, the Rising Star award will be presented by former winners Emma Mackey and Jack O’Connell. There is competition between actresses Phoebe Dynevor, Ayo Adebiri, Jacob Elordi, Mia McKenna-Bruce and Sophie Wilde. Doctor Who actor David Tennant will host the BAFTA Film Awards which will be held at the Royal Festival Hall in London. BAFTA is a world-leading independent arts charity that highlights the best work in film, sport and television and supports the development of creative talent in the UK and internationally. The BAFTA Awards ceremony can be telecasted in India on OTT platform Lionsgate Play.
