Informed sources said the Tata Group-owned airline is considering launching direct flights from Indian cities to Seattle, Los Angeles and Dallas. Currently, Air India is the only Indian airline to operate flights to Washington, New York, Newark, San Francisco and Chicago.

Mumbai Air India plans to launch more long-haul flights, primarily to US cities. Sources said the airline company is expanding its fleet with more A-350 and B-777 aircraft and plans to launch more long-haul flights. Informed sources said the Tata Group-owned airline is considering launching direct flights from Indian cities to Seattle, Los Angeles and Dallas. Currently, Air India is the only Indian airline to operate flights to Washington, New York, Newark, San Francisco and Chicago.

Sources said Air India is planning to launch flights to Seattle, Los Angeles and Dallas during the winter schedule of 2024-25. A-350 aircraft are likely to be deployed for services to Seattle, with B-777s being deployed for flights to Los Angeles and Dallas. These will be extremely long distance flights. This usually means that their duration is more than 16 hours. An Air India spokesperson did not comment on the plans.
