Airtel launches roaming pack for air travel

New Delhi: Telecom service provider Bharti Airtel today launched in-flight roaming plans for consumers, which will keep them connected during flights.
Airtel has partnered with Aeromobile to enable best-in-flight connectivity across 19 airlines flying across various international sectors for a seamless travel experience, the company said in a statement issued here.
He said that consumers will now be able to enjoy high-speed internet browsing, talk to their loved ones and many other functions thousands of feet above the ground. Prepaid customers availing roaming pack of Rs 2997 and postpaid customers of Rs 3999 or above will be able to avail the benefits of automatic in-flight roaming at no extra cost.
Commenting on the launch, Amit Tripathi, Director, Customer Experience and Marketing, Airtel, said, “Airtel has been a pioneer in providing seamless mobile connectivity to consumers across the country. Today, we are delighted to introduce the same service in-flight through In-Flight Roaming Pack, enabling customers to enjoy high-speed internet and uninterrupted voice calling and stay connected with their loved ones during their air travel. ”
To empower your air travel experience, Airtel has introduced in-flight services including voice, data and SMS services. This service will start at Rs 195 for both prepaid and postpaid customers with a validity of 24 hours. It will get 250 MB data, 100 instant calling and 100 SMS. Similarly, for Rs 295, you will get the facility of 500 MB data for 24 hours, 100 minutes calling and 100 SMS and in the pack of Rs 595, you will get the facility of 1 GB data, 100 minutes calling and 100 SMS.
