Actor Amitabh Bachchan on Friday rejected speculations about his ill health, terming it as fake news. With this, the rumors of his hospitalization have come to an end.
Actor Amitabh Bachchan’s well-wishers and fans expressed concern on social media platforms on Friday after some reports appeared in the media that he had undergone angioplasty due to a blood clot or artery blockage in his leg.
In the evening, hours after the news of his visit to the hospital surfaced, a photo of Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek surfaced during the match between Mumbai Indians vs Tigers of Kolkata in the Indian Premier League (ISPL).
In a video circulated on social media, Bachchan is seen walking out of the stadium when someone from the crowd asks him about his health. The actor is indicating with his hands that everything is fine. After this the man asked him, “How are you?” Everything is fine? On this Bachchan said “fake news” has come.
News started coming in in the afternoon stating that he had gone to Kokilaben Hospital for a routine checkup. Other reports said he was admitted to the hospital for angioplasty (a procedure to open blocked arteries and blood vessels) to clear a ‘blockage’ in his leg.
