New Delhi. Former Railway Board chief Anil Kumar Lahoti has been appointed chairman of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). The top post in TRAI has been vacant for almost four months. Former Chairman P.D. Vaghela’s tenure ended four months ago. According to the notification issued by the Department of Personnel and Training, “The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Anil Kumar Lahoti, former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Railway Board, Ministry of Railways, as the Chairman of TRAI.”
