Animal Box Office Collection Day 1: Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna-starrer Animal released in theaters on December 1. Amazing craze was seen among the audience regarding the film. It created a stir at the box office.
Now the first day box office collection of Animal has been revealed, and as expected, the film has taken a great start and has emerged as the second biggest opener of the year 2023.
According to data shared by industry tracker Sacanilc, Animal has earned around Rs 61 crore from all languages in India. According to the portal, the Hindi version earned Rs 50 crore on the first day, while the Telugu version earned Rs 10 crore, Tamil version earned Rs 40 lakh, Kannada earned Rs 9 lakh and Malayalam earned Rs 1 lakh.
As far as worldwide figures are concerned, the film is expected to collect Rs 100 crore, making it the third Bollywood film after ‘Pathan’ and ‘Jawaan’ to earn Rs 100 crore worldwide.
Animal has become the biggest opener of Ranbir Kapoor’s career by earning Rs 61 crore domestically. Animal has also left behind the opening day collections of mega-blockbuster films like Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Pathan’ and ‘Gadar 2’.
Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s spy thriller earned Rs 57 crore on the first day. Whereas Sunny Deol’s action drama Gadar 2 earned Rs 41 crore on the first day. Animal garnered one of the largest pre-sales in the history of Indian films.
The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial sold nearly 5 lakh tickets before its release day, placing it fifth on the all-time list after Baahubali 2, Jawan, Pathan and KGF: Chapter 2.
At the box office, Animal was released in theaters along with Vicky Kaushal’s war drama Sam Bahadur. Vicky is giving competition to Ranbir Kapoor and despite the Animal craze, Sam Bahadur is getting the audience.
As far as box office collection is concerned, ‘Sun Bahadur’ directed by Meghna Gulzar earned Rs 5.60 crore on the first day. Animal also stars Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, Suresh Oberoi and Prem Chopra in lead roles.
