Apple Vision Pro adds ‘Travel Mode’ feature to make air travel better

San Francisco: The first developer beta of VisionOS includes a feature for the Apple Vision Pro spatial computer. This feature called ‘Travel Mode’ is specifically designed to improve the flight experience of users. As Mac Rumors reports, Travel Mode appears to be the company’s answer to providing an immersive experience, as an airplane cabin with limited space and special environmental conditions can be difficult for virtual reality (VR) devices.
Several text strings were found in the first developer version of VisionOS, which provide information about the operation of this new feature. These text strings indicate that this feature was created to modify the capabilities of Vision Pro to fit the specific constraints of an airplane cabin. “Since Travel Mode is still in beta, we expect further improvements and potentially more features before we roll it out to the general public,” the report said. The tech giant unveiled the Vision Pro headset earlier this month. Priced at $3,499, the Apple Vision Pro will be available early next year, starting with the US.
