BJP took out a procession with party flags, posters and banners in Hubli demanding the immediate release of Shrikant Pujari. In Bengaluru, party leaders demonstrated at Freedom Park to protest against Pujari’s arrest. Apart from Vijayendra, former Chief Minister DV Sadananda Gowda, MPs former minister Dr CN Ashwath Narayan, Birthi Basavaraj K Gopalouya, MP Pisa Mohan and a large number of party workers participated in the protest.
The purpose of the order given by the Congress government of Karnataka regarding the old pending cases will be to provide relief to the people, but the action taken at the lower level will prove to be harmful for the Congress not only in Karnataka but at the national level.
In cases of hooliganism or protests etc., especially those related to religious issues, their solution is ended only by giving a warning. If the matter is big then immediate action is taken. Karnataka Police has arrested the temple priest after 31 years in the case related to Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement. The sooner the Karnataka government issues a warning and releases the Hindu activist arrested in this case, it is in the interest of the government and the Congress party.
