Itanagar. Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein on Thursday presented the state’s interim budget for the financial year 2024-25. Meen also holds the charge of Finance and Planning and Investment Department. The budget was presented from April 1 to July 31. The House passed the Vote on Account by voice vote without any discussion. The full budget for the financial year 2024-25 will be presented after the completion of the Lok Sabha elections and assembly elections in the state. Mein presented the interim budget during the discussion on the motion of thanks on the Governor’s address on Friday. Under Article 116 of the Constitution, Vote on Account is presented to meet the necessary government expenditure for a limited period till the budget is approved.
