Employees disappointed due to non-restoration of old pension: Sunil Yadav

Increasing investment in pharma research is a welcome step. Finance Minister has announced to increase investment in Pharma research and give priority to innovation. This will create employment, while India will develop further in the field of public health with the help of qualified people in the pharma industry and pharmacy sector.

India should be developed as a pharma hub

Sunil Yadav says that India is the largest provider of generic drugs in the world with a share of 20% of the total global pharmaceutical exports. It is also the world’s largest vaccine supplier by volume. That’s why India should be developed as a pharma hub. The demand of the employees was that income up to Rs 10 lakh, pension and medical reimbursement should be exempted from income tax. On which the Finance Minister did not announce and no standard deduction was also increased.

The hope of restoration of old pension in the budget is lost: Atul Mishra

The State Employees Joint Council has termed the budget as anti-employee interest due to non-announcement of restoration of old pension in the budget of the central government. Council General Secretary Atul Mishra and Chief Vice President Sunil Yadav said that there was a demand of the employees that the old pension should be restored. Income up to 10 lakh and pension should be exempted from income tax. But no announcement was made in the budget on these demands of the employees. Increasing tax free income from 5 lakh to 7 lakh in the budget will definitely give some relief.

Make Medical Reimbursement Tax Free

Atul Mishra said that medical reimbursement should be made tax free. Because it is a reimbursement of the expenditure incurred. That’s why it cannot be a part of income. The Council has also expressed concern over the absence of any plan for permanent employment generation. According to the council, privatization plans can never be in the interest of the country. That’s why the government should increase the budget in the direction of permanent employment.
