New Delhi: The announcements of the Budget 2023 have been announced. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that it has rained gifts for every sector. Railways have also got Rs 2.4 lakh crore to spend. During the budget speech, the Finance Minister has mentioned about the Green Railway. Here green railway does not mean green. Here green means green energy. Green energy means hydrogen trains. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said during the budget announcement that Indian Railways will soon become the world’s 100% green railway. Railways will become number one in the world by the year 2030 by achieving the target of net zero carbon emissions.
Referring to Green Railways, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that Indian Railways is moving towards zero carbon emission with speed and strength. Indian Railways will very soon become the world’s first green railway. With the help of green hydrogen trains, Railways is fast moving towards its goal of zero carbon emission. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav held a press conference after the budget announcements. He said that soon the first green hydrogen trains will start running in the country.
At the same time, to reduce pollution, Railways is constantly emphasizing on rail electrification. Since the year 2014, it has increased almost 10 times. Due to these reasons pollution can be controlled. The Finance Minister showered gifts on the Railways in the budget. A budget of Rs 2.4 lakh crore has been allocated in the budget. At the same time, Rs 75 thousand crore has been announced for new projects. The number of Vande Bharat trains will be increased. After the budget announcements, the Railway Minister said that apart from Vande Metro trains, Vande Metro will also be operated after Vande Bharat.
