S Ranganathan, head of research, LKP Securities, said that public sector companies, which have a 13.5 percent share in the market capitalization, have seen significant growth. In other markets of Asia, South Korea’s Kospi, Japan’s Nikkei, China’s Shanghai Composite and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng were in loss. European markets were in gain in afternoon trading. American markets closed with losses on Wednesday.

The global market is giving mixed signals on the last day of the trading week. There is flat trading in GIFT NIFTY and US FUTURE. Whereas, yesterday the American market closed with mixed results. At the same time, the Indian market fell after a sluggish start on Thursday. Whereas, there was tremendous trading in the last one hour. The 30-share Sensex of BSE closed at 66,265.56 points with a gain of 385.04 points or 0.58 percent. Whereas, Nifty of National Stock Exchange also closed at 19,727.05 points with a gain of 116 points or 0.59 percent.
