The central government has received around 1.07 lakh complaints against various government departments in February through an online platform. Most of these complaints are against the Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Labor and Employment and CBDT. These complaints were received on the Centralized Public Grievance Redressal and Monitoring System. Common citizens can register their complaints through this online system. According to a statement released by the Personnel Ministry on Friday, a total of 1,07,308 public complaints were received on the complaint portal in February 2023.
Including past grievances, 1,09,976 cases have been resolved as on 25 February 2023, while 65,215 cases were pending. According to the statement, the highest number of 18,478 complaints were received against the Department of Financial Services (Banking Division) last month. While 14,269 complaints were received in the Ministry of Labor and Employment, 5,544 in the Central Board of Direct Taxes (Income Tax) and 5,500 in the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.
