On Diwali, the government is busy providing relief to crores of countrymen from inflation. Working in this regard, the Central Government has given a special gift to the people of the country during the festival season. The central government will now provide flour to the public at cheap prices. In this context, the Central Government on Monday formally started the sale of wheat flour at the rate of Rs 27.50 per kg across the country under the brand name ‘Bharat Atta’.

This step of the Central Government has brought great relief to the people of the country even before Diwali. The aim of the government is to provide relief to the public from inflation. Due to inflation, people’s household budget should not get spoiled and the beauty of festivals should not get spoiled. In this series, the Central Government has launched ‘Bharat Atta’ for the public. Generally, the cheapest flour is available in the market at the rate of Rs 32 per kg. Instead of this flour, you can now buy flour launched by the government.

Let us inform that ‘Bharat Atta’ will be sold through 800 mobile vans and more than 2,000 shops across the country through cooperative societies NAFED, NCCF and Kendriya Bhandar. The subsidized rate is lower than the current market rate of Rs 36-70 per kg, depending on quality and location. In February, the government had conducted a pilot sale of 18,000 tonnes of ‘Bharat Atta’ at Rs 29.50 per kg through these cooperative societies in some shops under the Price Stabilization Fund Scheme.

Flagging off 100 mobile vans of ‘Bharat Atta’ on duty here, Union Food and Consumer Affairs Minister Piyush Goyal said, “Now that we have conducted the trials and have been successful, we have completed a formality. “It has been decided so that flour is available everywhere in the country at the rate of Rs 27.50 per kg.” He said sales of wheat flour were low during the trial as it was sold retail through only a few stores. However, this time there will be better uptake as the product will be sold through 800 mobile vans and 2,000 shops of these three agencies across the country.
