Central intelligence agencies along with states like Delhi, Telangana, Odisha, UP have also recommended the Union Home Ministry to take action on these apps. There is content on these apps that harms the sovereignty and integrity of India. This is an offense under section 69 of the IT Act. These apps were posing a threat to the economic stability of the country.
