Raising this issue in Parliament, Congress Rajya Sabha MP Ranjit Ranjan said on Thursday that films with such themes promote violence and misogyny in the society. Speaking about the blockbuster Arjan Valley song, which has been topping the charts since its release, the Rajya Sabha member said it is shameful to depict the history of Arjan Valley in the background song of Gangwar.

Congress leader claimed “Cinema is considered to be the mirror of the society. We have grown up watching films and they have an impact on the society, especially on the lives of the youth.
