Conservation and encouragement of innovations by farm and barn experimenters is the need of the hour.

In the changing scenario, the government should now recognize, protect and recognize the hard work of the experimental farmers who are doing new experiments every day and creating harmony between their hard work, innovative, traditional and modern farming by making the farm a laboratory apart from the big and resourceful laboratories of the universities. We will also have to take the initiative to give. There is no doubt that world class work is being done in the field of research and research in the agricultural universities of the country and today the country is setting new dimensions in the field of farming every day. Today India has become a leading country in the field of agriculture. The situation has become such that despite the ban on export of wheat and paddy, it is the result of the hard work of the farmers of the country that the country is moving towards setting new records of export by increasing the export of horticulture and other agricultural products. But here we must not forget that due to excessive use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, the conditions for the production of wheat, paddy etc. have become saturated, along with affecting the fertility of the land, excessive exploitation of water is also affecting health and well-being. It is becoming harmful. Today the country is moving towards organic and traditional farming. However, it is also an achievement that our Sikkim has become the number one organic grain producing state in the world. Well, amidst all this, we have to come forward to encourage and protect and carry forward the hard work of those experimental sons of the soil who are writing a new story despite their limited means, resources and adverse financial circumstances. If seen in the true sense, the hard work and dedication of these experimental farmers cannot be compared to that of any agricultural scientist.

Among the many experimental sons of the country, Shriprakash Singh Raghuvanshi, a farmer scientist from Tadiya village of Varanasi district of Uttar Pradesh, is engaged in making his own farming, his own fertilizer, his own seeds and his own taste, one such farmer by turning his selected fields into laboratories. It is rightly said that God does justice in some way or the other. Shriprakash Raghuvanshi is a living example of this. At the age of 23, due to eye problems due to the side effects of penicillin injection during his illness, due to eye problems, the innovations and experiments done by Shriprakash by turning his farm and farming into a laboratory, there is a greater need to preserve them today. According to the information received, due to the fear of realizing the possibility of complete loss of vision in the near future, Shriprakash feels that if such a dire situation arises, his research journey in the agricultural sector will come to a halt. He is worried about what will happen to the seeds of ‘Kudrat’ and Karishma varieties of wheat, pigeon pea, mustard etc. developed by him and the treasure of 200 types of indigenous seeds.

Shriprakash has developed 200 types of indigenous varieties of seeds by doing new experiments every day. These include 80 species of wheat, 20 species of paddy, 5 species of pigeon pea, 3 species of mustard, and important work has been done to develop indigenous species that are good and quick-ripening in our climate and environment. ‘Wheat is Kudrat-9 and Kudrat-8 Vishwanath has long ears. There are 80-90 grains in one earring. The plant does not fall due to strong water or wind. Production capacity is 25 to 30 quintals per acre. The grain is thick, shiny and heavy. The special thing is that the claims being made by the agricultural universities of the country have been tested and have stood up to the quality. In many parts of the country, especially in UP, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana etc., an experiment has been conducted by providing samples of 100, 50, 25 grams and this experiment has been successful. Now Shriprakash’s concern is that if a bank of these indigenous seeds is created, then their use, production and conservation can be done. Ultimately only the agricultural sector of the country will benefit from this.

Under the pretext of Shri Prakash, the situation here becomes a matter of concern and consideration that merely honoring such sons of the country with national awards is not enough. Respect is important in itself, but when their hard work and experimentation is considered worthy, then it should be protected and promoted. I believe that the agriculture ministries of the central and state governments should recognize and encourage such innovative, self-indulgent work being done for human society and the agricultural world. Rather, it should be that there should be a section in the ministries which will only make efforts to encourage such people, support them, provide resources as per requirement and take forward the experiments which stand the test after being taken over by the government. Needed Today farmers are given tours. There should be no doubt that it would be more beneficial if such innovative sons of the land are given a tour of the farms and barns and are introduced to their experiences. If seen, Shri Prakash is an excuse, yes, it is true that the Uttar Pradesh Government and the Agriculture Ministry of the Central Government should come forward to establish and preserve the seed bank of 20 more than 200 species made by Shri Prakash. In view of the adverse health condition of Shriprakash, support should be provided. This is not only about Shri Prakash, such Karmayogi will be found in every corner of the country. Mahendra Madhup of the Mission Farmer Scientist family has taken the initiative to bring such Karmayogis and their experiments to the fore through his books and continuous literary efforts along with Anveeshk Kisan. The government should recognize them. Mere awards are not going to do anything but the innovations of their hard work should be expanded. There is no doubt that the government should first test and test, but after testing and testing it proves useful, then the government should carry forward such experiments. Even if, like other chairs in universities, such innovative and experimental land can come forward by establishing a chair for its sons also. After Corona, new situations have emerged in the world. Due to climate change and increase in temperature, new situations are emerging. The world is being warned about an impending food crisis. Then the need for such initiatives becomes even greater.
