Court refuses to ban Google AdWords from using words matching PolicyBazaar ‘trademark’

New Delhi: The Delhi High Court has dismissed Policybazaar’s plea to restrain other entities from using words similar to its ‘trademark’ on Google’s AdWords program. Justice Navin Chawla, hearing Policybazaar’s plea against the alleged use of its trademark by Coverfox Insurance Broking Pvt Ltd and Acko General Insurance Ltd on AdWords Program, observed that prima facie no case of infringement is made out.
