Especially the middle class has high hopes, while the government employees are hopeful that tomorrow Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman can make important announcements for the government employees in the budget. These announcements include giving DA arrears of 18 months, fitment factor to increase salary. At the time of Kovid, the government did not give DA arrears of 18 months. The government did not increase DA for 18 months from January 2020 to June 2021. The government had frozen it. After this, the government had directly increased DA by 11 percent on July 1, 2021, but did not say anything about not increasing or furthering DA for 18 months.

The employees are expecting that the government will give DA of 18 months in the budget.
