On this day every citizen of India should take an oath of participation in every election of his nation, because the vote of every person of India lays the foundation for the future of the country. That’s why every person’s vote becomes a partner in nation building. It is the responsibility of the Election Commission of India, which was formed on 25 January 1950, to conduct all the elections held in India fairly. The Election Commission is a permanent and independent body. It was formed by the Constitution of India to conduct free and fair elections in the country. According to Article 324 of the Constitution, the Election Commission is responsible for conducting, directing and controlling elections to the posts of Parliament, State Legislature, President and Vice President. From the year 2011, the Government of India had started celebrating the establishment day of the Election Commission as National Voters’ Day on 25th January itself to increase people’s participation in every election. On this day, many programs are organized by the governments and many social organizations in the country to make people aware of voting so that maximum participation of people in the political processes of the country can be ensured.

There is a list of voters for each constituency, which is called the electoral roll. As per Article 326 of the Constitution and the Representation of the People Act, 1950, the minimum age for enrollment in the Electoral Roll is 18 years. To make voters aware, voter awareness campaign is being conducted at the college level under the Systematic Voter Education and Electoral Participation (SWEEP) scheme. Essays, speeches, debates, painting etc. are organized at the college level in relation to voter awareness, fair transparency and fearless voting, to make voters aware of maximum voting. So that the message of voter awareness can be conveyed. National Voter’s Day is organized every year to remind all the citizens of India of their duty towards their nation. Participation of every citizen of India in the voting process is necessary, because only one vote of common man changes the governments. One vote of all of us can choose a good representative in a moment and can also choose a useless representative, so every citizen of India should use his vote thoughtfully and choose such governments or representatives, which To take the country on the path of development and progress. 65 percent of India’s population is youth, so youth should participate more and more in every election of the country and elect such governments, which think about the development of the country by rising above communalism and casteism. The day the youth of the country wakes up, that day casteism, high-low, communal discrimination will end from the country. This can only happen if we all vote. Due to the utility of Voter ID card in many places, from young to old people get it made but often they are not able to reach the polling station.
