New Delhi: While most Asian markets struggled, Indian benchmarks opened with losses today. Although the metal, power, utility sectors have performed well. On the other hand, Fast Moving Consumer Goods, Financial Services Sector and Banking Sector have proved to be the topper losers today. At 10:25 am, the BSE Sensex fell 0.46% to reach the level of 62,874. The Nifty 50 index fell 0.38% to 18,683. On Sensex, Power Grid Corporation of India, Tata Steel and Wipro were the top gainers. While Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv and Mahindra & Mahindra were the market draggers. The advance-decline ratio remained strongly in favor of advances, with 1,740 scrips rising and 1,444 scrips declining on the BSE. Shares of HDFC Asset Management Company gained nearly 7% in the BSE Largecap group today, following an update on the acquisition. With a jump in trading volumes, shares of BSE’s top smallcap gainer Subros Ltd closed at 20% upper circuit and hit a 52-week high of Rs 434.50 per scrip on BSE. There was also heavy buying in the shares of Amber Enterprises India Ltd and Ddev Plastiks Industries Ltd. Today these penny stocks are upper circuited. Investors should keep an eye on these stocks in the coming days.
