Officials said that taking the matter seriously, the airline is also investigating. An Air India spokesperson on Friday said the airline will not tolerate any lapse in aspects related to safety and care of passengers and will take necessary action regarding the incident.
According to reports, the incident took place on February 27 and a complaint was lodged with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) by a crew member of the Dubai-Delhi flight. A DGCA official said on Friday that the regulator is probing the matter. The official said that the probe team will examine the relevant facts from the technical and security perspective. The pilot of the flight had allowed a female friend into the cockpit.
