Mumbai: The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) showcased its advanced face authentication facility powered by fully indigenously developed AI (Artificial Intelligence) and ML engine under the theme ‘Reimagining Aadhaar #Authentication’ at the Global Fintech Festival (GFF) in Mumbai. performed. According to a release from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology on Wednesday, UIDAI has partnered with various fintech firms and relevant ecosystem authorities to ‘reimagine’ Aadhaar adoption with the intention of collaborating, co-innovating and exploring opportunities comprehensively at GFF 2023. Organized a meeting with entrepreneurs under the theme ‘Aadhaar #Together’.
The Authority is endeavoring to assist the residents in availing multiple services at their fingertips through the Aadhaar identification platform. As part of the Government’s Guidelines 2022, UIDAI has made efforts to rapidly adopt technology and provide even better services to the residents. Under this, industry and fintech partners are being encouraged to collaborate with UIDAI with the larger objective of finding better solutions.
As part of this policy, UIDAI has worked closely with Airtel Payments Bank over the past few months for better facial authentication features. Attendance system for beneficiaries of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) and Aadhaar platform in customer on-boarding process by banks were also showcased at the conference.
UIDAI has also set up a dedicated state-of-the-art Innovation Lab at the UIDAI Tech Center to map innovation in a new sandbox environment and facilitate R&D and innovation. A sandbox is an isolated environment for testing fintech technology. It allows users to run newly developed programs or open files without affecting the working of any application, system or platform.
