Now you will be able to buy tickets for Delhi Metro from the portal of Indian Railways Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), an undertaking of Indian Railways.
Recently officials said that IRCTC and DMRC have tied up to launch ‘One India-One Ticket’ initiative. A senior DMRC official told that it is not yet decided when the project will start. The move is aimed at giving commuters a smooth and hassle-free experience across various modes of transport.
“IRCTC and Delhi DMRC have signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance convenience for commuters,” DMRC said in a statement. The objective of this unprecedented collaboration is to introduce QR code-based ticketing for DMRC services through the IRCTC portal under the ‘One India-One Ticket’ initiative.
