FPIs infused Rs 37,316 crore into equities so far in May

New Delhi. Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) have infused Rs 37,316 crore into Indian stock markets so far in May. Strong macroeconomic fundamentals and reasonable valuations of stocks have attracted FPIs towards Indian markets. This is the highest investment by FPIs in stocks in the last six months. Earlier, in November 2022, he had invested Rs 36,239 crore purely in stocks. Apart from equities, FPIs have infused Rs 1,432 crore into the debt or bond market so far in May. With this fresh inflow, FPIs have invested a net Rs 22,737 crore in Indian equities so far in 2023.
