‘From 2004 to 2014 was bad for India’, Ashwini Vaishnav said – Big change in the country under the leadership of PM Modi

Big change in railway sector

Ashwini Vaishnav said that after 2014 there has been a big change in India. The railway sector in particular is changing more than ever. Today, the railway system is customer friendly, trains have world class facilities and infrastructure is being strengthened. He said that in 2014, 4 km. Railway tracks were being laid everyday whereas today 14 km. Railway tracks are being laid everyday. The way the railways have been reformed in the last 9 years under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the result is visible today.

Vande Bharat train will cover every state

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that Vande Bharat trains will start covering all states by June. We aim to connect 200 cities with Vande Bharat by the middle of next year. He said that the production work is going on fast for the implementation of the project. He said that today around 800 crore people travel by train annually, 250 crore people travel by road and 30 crore people travel by air. He claimed that before 2014, a total of 21,000 kms of railway lines were electrified, whereas in the last 9 years the number has reached 37,000 kms.

Ashwini Vaishnav said that India was always dependent on the world for telecom technology but today due to ‘Made in India’ India’s technology is being exported to the most prosperous countries of the world. He said that 2004-2014 was a lost decade for India in which India remained the 10th largest economy in the whole world. However since Modi ji has taken over, India has become the 5th largest economy in the world from the earlier 10th largest economy. Recently, a Morgan Stanley report also stated that India has embraced change in less than a decade. We are projected to be the 4th largest economy by 2026 and among the top-3 economies by 2027-28.
