Gadar 2 OTT Release: Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer Gadar 2, released on August 11, was a blast at the box office. The film broke many records in a few days.
Now Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 will stream on ZEE5 from 6th October. The OTT platform made this announcement. Sunny Paaji played the role of Tara Singh in this film directed by Anil Sharma.
Produced by Zee Studios, the film returns Ameesha Patel as Sakina and Utkarsh Sharma as Charanjeet. Streamer ZEE5, operated by Zee Entertainment Enterprises, shared the announcement of the digital premiere on its official X page.
ZEE5 said in the post, “Countdown begins! Tara Singh is all set to win your hearts! India’s biggest blockbuster coming to #ZEE5 in just 2 days! #Gadar2OnZEE5.”
Gadar 2 was released in theaters on 11 August. The Hindi period action drama has earned around Rs 500 crore so far, emerging as one of the biggest box office successes after the Covid-19 pandemic.
The film also featured Manish Wadhwa, Gaurav Chopra and Simrat Kaur. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Gadar 2 earned Rs 40 crore on its opening day in theatres. It became the third best opener of 2023 after Shahrukh Khan’s Pathan and Jawan.
Gadar 2 is the sequel to the hit film, which was released in theaters in 2001. In the film, Sunny Deol played the role of Tara, a truck driver, while Ameesha Patel played the role of Sakina in the film which was set during the partition of India.
Recently the makers of Gadar 2 organized a success party in Mumbai, where many big actors like Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Varun Dhawan, Dharmendra, Sidharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani and Shilpa Shetty were present. .
During a press conference, Sunny reacted to the film’s stupendous success and said, “I was under a lot of stress with time and when this film came out in theatres, I don’t know why it felt as if God had come inside me.” . I kept crying and laughing all night and evening. I also met my father (Dharmendra) and said no, I am not drunk, I am happy what do I do.
