People are becoming victims of accidents every day due to the huge potholes in the complex. But the market committee management has nothing to do with it. The market committee which once used to expand development work and facilities in other areas. The one who used to provide funds to others is today in a bad condition. Shops and warehouses have fallen into disrepair. The roads have turned into mud. The farmers coming here are forced to sit with their products in this condition. The market committee has a daily turnover of fruits, vegetables, grains and groceries worth Rs 1 crore. Let us tell you that traders from nearby states Chhattisgarh, UP and Bihar also reach the market committee of Garhwa. Dozens of trucks of potatoes, fruits and grains arrive here on a large scale every day from many states. From here, apart from the nearby markets, goods also reach the neighboring states. But traders do not get anything in the name of facilities and they have to face problems.

The buildings, warehouses and shops in the Agricultural Produce Market Committee premises are in a dilapidated condition. Many buildings have reached the stage of collapse due to lack of repair over the years. The condition of the roads is also worse. Mud has replaced the road. Farmers are forced to sit here with their products. Customers, traders, farmers, everyone is facing problems. This condition of the campus has happened due to non-provision of funds by the Board.
Earlier the annual income was Rs 3.5 crores
There are a total of 24 warehouses and 150 shops in the Agricultural Produce Market Committee premises. The condition of most of these is dilapidated. Due to lack of proper arrangement for cleanliness, the visitors to the premises face a lot of trouble. It is known that the market committee used to earn Rs 3.5 crore every year from the management of a total of 38 haat markets in the district, which has now completely stopped. Now in this matter, a detailed report has been demanded from the Marketing Secretary of Agricultural Produce Market Committee regarding the facilities, development, shortcomings, area and requirement of the market premises.
Got assurance from the minister: Chairman
Rajesh Kumar Gupta alias Funtus, President of the Market Committee Business Association, said that he has met local MLA cum State Minister Mithilesh Thakur regarding the restoration of facilities in the Market Committee. The minister has assured them that concrete steps will be taken in this regard soon.
Proposal regarding facilities has been sent: Marketing Secretary
When asked in this regard, Marketing Secretary Rahul Kumar said that there is lack of facilities in the campus. The roads are also dilapidated. He has sent a proposal regarding all this to the board but till now no response has been received. He said that the pit in the premises will be filled soon so that the traders do not face any problem.
