Gold and silver futures prices fall due to weak spot demand
Gold prices rose by Rs 204 to Rs 57,833 per 10 grams in futures trade on Wednesday due to buying of fresh deals by speculators amid strong spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, the price of the contract for delivery in the month of December increased by Rs 204, or 0.35 percent, to Rs 57,833 per 10 grams. 14,566 lots were traded in this. Silver prices fell by Rs 583 to Rs 69,501 per kg in futures trade on Wednesday as traders reduced the size of their deals amid weak spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, the price of silver contract for delivery in December fell by Rs 583, or 0.85 percent, to Rs 69,501 per kg. 25,897 lots were traded in this. Globally, silver price in New York fell by 1.24 percent to $ 22.23 an ounce.
