New Delhi (Best Hindu News): The government has increased the rates of interest on small savings schemes like National Savings Certificate, Senior Citizen Savings Scheme, Sukanya Samriddhi Account Scheme, Kisan Vikas Patra and Monthly Income Account Scheme by up to 0.70 percent, while the public There has been no change in the interest rate of provident fund scheme.

According to the official circular issued in this regard by the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, new rates of interest have been issued on small savings schemes for the quarter from April 1 to June 30. The interest rate on savings deposits is unchanged at 4.0 percent, while the interest rate on one-year deposits has been increased from 6.6 percent to 6.8 percent, on two-year deposits from 6.8 percent to 6.9 percent, on three-year deposits from 6.9 percent. Increased to 7.0 percent, interest on five-year deposit has been increased from 7.0 percent to 7.5 percent, interest on five-year recurring deposit has been increased from 5.8 percent to 6.2 percent.

Similarly, the interest on Senior Citizen Savings Scheme has been increased from 8.0 percent to 8.2 percent, the interest on Monthly Income Account Scheme has been increased from 7.1 percent to 7.4 percent, the interest on National Savings Certificate has been increased from 7.0 percent to 7.7 percent, the interest on Kisan Vikas Patra has been increased. has been increased from 7.2 per cent to 7.5 per cent for 120 months as well as reducing the maturity period to 115 months. Interest on Sukanya Samriddhi Account Scheme has been increased from 7.6 percent to 8.0 percent. However, the interest rate on the Public Provident Fund Scheme has been kept unchanged at 7.1 percent.
