7th Pay Commission: There is good news for central government employees. Just before the increase in his dearness allowance, there is good news on the promotion front.

This decision has been taken for those employees who draw salary under the Seventh Pay Commission and are under the Ministry of Defence. The central government has made some changes in the rules related to promotion. After these changes, the rules of minimum service have been upgraded. In this, a list has been issued for the defense civilian employees of the Ministry of Defense. Promotion rules changed for which employees?

Revised norms have been set for Defense Civilian Employees under the Ministry of Defense of the Central Government. This will be applicable to those employees who come under the pay matrix and pay band of the 7th Pay Commission. Also, the salaries of such employees are being paid from the Defense Services Estimates. A notification in this regard has also been issued by the Defense Ministry.

Who will get promotion in which category?

As per the list, the eligibility for promotion is 3 years’ experience for Level 1 to 2 in the list of qualifying service. Whereas for Level 2 to 4, 3 to 8 years of experience is required. Similarly, employees up to level 17 are required to have 1 year of experience and those from level 6 to 11 are required to have 12 years of experience. There is a provision for promotion on this basis.

Dearness allowance of employees is going to increase

Dearness allowance for the second half of the year is going to be announced soon for the central government employees. A total of more than 1 crore employees and pensioners are included in this. It is estimated that dearness allowance can be increased for the second half by the end of September.

This time too there may be an increase of 4 percent in dearness allowance. However, some reports have claimed that dearness allowance will increase by 3 percent. The increased dearness allowance will be applicable from July 1, 2023. At present, no official information has been given by the Central Government in this matter. At present, the date of approval by the government from the cabinet is also not included.
