Washington/New Delhi: Search engine Google has been sued in the US for dominating the advertising market. Quoting news agency AFP, ANI has tweeted that the US Department of Justice has sued Google for dominance of the online advertising market. After this, a new legal battle has started in America regarding Google’s arbitrariness in the advertising market.
In the latest case, prosecutors have targeted Google’s highly profitable advertising business. Prosecutors have been instructed to level the playing field for the other contestants.
Earlier, Google was also sued in December 2020 for dominance and arbitrariness in the online advertising market. At that time, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed a petition against Google alleging that the company was adopting ‘illegal’ methods to eliminate competition in the online advertising market. The case was filed by Attorney General Ken Paxton against unfair practices aimed at eliminating competition in the lucrative digital advertising market.
