Goyal invites Italian entrepreneurs to invest in India

New Delhi (Best Hindu News): Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, during his visit to Italy, encouraged the entrepreneurs there to do business with India, saying that the country is currently one of the most reliable markets in the world for investment and here There are many opportunities galore. Shri Goyal also holds the charge of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution and Textiles.
Addressing a conference of CEOs of companies in Rome on Thursday, Goyal said that India is an open economy and has global connectivity. Free trade talks are going on between India and the European Union.
Mr. Goyal said that India-Italy partnership should aim high as it has been given the status of strategic level partnership recently, new possibilities have been created for it. The Commerce Minister told there how India’s trade with global markets is expanding and the country’s total exports have increased by 55 percent in the last two years.
He said that currently around 700 Italian companies are working in India and this is the best time to set up business in India. The minister said that India will come up with strong forward-looking policies for doing business, with retrospective reforms as and when required.
Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Trade Minister Antonio Tajani also participated in the event and said that there is a need to create a good future path between the two countries and encourage micro, small and medium units on it.
The CEO Business Interactive Session in Rome was organized by the Embassy of India in Rome, Italy in association with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Confindustria. The session was attended by over 70 CEOs from Indian and Italian companies.
