Among the supplementary demands, Rs 6,004.63 crore is for repayment of WMA/overdraft and Rs 1,260.65 crore is for pension and other retirement benefits.
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu on Tuesday presented the first and final installment of the Supplementary Demands for Grants for the year 2022-23 in the Vidhan Sabha. He sought approval from the Assembly for an additional expenditure of Rs 13,141.07 crore. Among the supplementary demands, Rs 6,004.63 crore is for repayment of WMA/overdraft and Rs 1,260.65 crore is for pension and other retirement benefits.
Of the total demands, Rs 11,707.68 crore for state government schemes, Rs 1,433.39 crore for central government-aided schemes, Rs 551.48 crore for electricity subsidy, Rs 444.03 crore for construction of hospitals, purchase of medical equipment and Himcare scheme and Rs 435.08 crore for higher secondary for construction of school and college buildings and payment of salaries. Apart from this, Rs 289.38 crore for the cooperation of Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation, Rs 284.79 crore for Chief Minister Sukh Ashray Kosh, construction of Sukh Ashray Bhavan and social security pension, Rs 279.06 crore for water supply and sanitation, Rs 226.51 crore for natural calamity relief. For this, Rs 209.33 crore is for government departments under Mukhyamantri Swavalamban Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Gati Shakti Yojana, optical cable fiber network and digital expenditure or state government schemes.
