New Delhi. Hockey India President Dilip Tirkey congratulated PR Sreejesh on becoming co-chairman of the FIH Athletes Committee and said that he can play a big role in the betterment of his fellow players. The International Hockey Federation on Wednesday announced a new athlete committee, which will be headed by Sreejesh and Chile women’s hockey team defender Camila Caram.
Karam has been made the athlete committee representative and co-chairman on the executive board while Sreejesh will be the co-chairman and lead the planning and meetings. Hockey India President Dilip Tirkey said in a release, “It is great to see that PR Sreejesh has been given a role at FIH that can directly impact the lives of hockey players.
He has immense experience and can do a lot for the betterment of the athletes.” The FIH Athletes Committee is an advisory body that provides advice to the FIH Executive Board, Committees, Advisory Panels and other bodies. His job is to provide feedback to FIH on behalf of the players and develop resources and new initiatives for the players.
