I am not Malala: Yana Mir
[ad_1]
Jammu and Kashmir’s female YouTuber Yana Mir, while speaking at the Sankalp Diwas program organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Study Center in Britain, said, ‘I am not Malala Yousafzai and neither should anyone compare me with her. Apart from being completely safe in my country India, I am a resident of Kashmir, the most beautiful place in the world.
While reprimanding Pakistan and so-called human rights activists for spreading confusion and misconceptions regarding Jammu and Kashmir in the British Parliament, Yana Mir said that Pakistan should stop spreading propaganda about Kashmir. Pakistan always spreads confusion. The army in Kashmir is not involved in human rights abuses, rather it helps the youth in their development and fulfilling their dreams. Mir said that he is completely safe in Kashmir. I will never have to run away and seek refuge in your country, nor will I ever have to become Malala, who had to leave her country due to threats from terrorists. I have objection to Malala’s conspiracy to defame my country and my motherland Kashmir by calling it oppressed. There is objection from all such toolkit members of internet media and international media, who have not come to Kashmir, but sitting in such rooms under the influence of special power, keep on creating stories of oppression and human rights violations in Kashmir.
It is noteworthy that apart from British MPs, around 100 other well-known personalities participated in the above program. It can be called the misfortune of the country that even within the country there are many non-governmental organizations which keep on creating new stories regarding Jammu and Kashmir to tarnish the image of India in the country and abroad.
The ground truth is that after the abrogation of Article 370, the Modi government has announced many new schemes for the development of Jammu and Kashmir along with strengthening the democratic system from the Panchayat level there. The people of Jammu and Kashmir have started getting the benefits of many of these schemes and some will be available in the near future. Along with strengthening the infrastructure there, the Modi government has also cracked down on the separatists and radicals who used to spread unrest at the behest of Pakistan. As a result, today the number of tourists in the valley has set a new record.
Development of Jammu and Kashmir and restoration of peace there is the priority of the Modi government. Work is going on there only to achieve this goal. Yana Mir deserves congratulations for the truth she has spoken on the international platform. Taking inspiration from Yana Mir, other youth should also raise their voice against the myths and misconceptions being spread by anti-national forces about Jammu and Kashmir and should make the world aware of the real situation of Jammu and Kashmir.
