After this, the court also directed his lawyers to take appropriate steps in view of his illness. The court assured him that everything related to his health will be taken care of. The judge said that he came to the court with constant tremors in his entire body and hands… He cannot tell anyone anything because his wife is bedridden and so is his only daughter. The jail staff has limitations to help him. Naresh Goyal told the judge that he needed help even to stand. He told how his knees were swelling and hurting. He is unable to bend both his legs. There is a lot of pain in their knees due to swelling. They have to go to the washroom again and again to urinate. Nowadays, he suffers from severe pain. Sometimes blood comes through urine along with unbearable pain. He could not get any help for a long time.

Goyal petitioned for bail

Naresh Goyal urged that he had become very weak and there was no use in referring him to JJ Hospital as it was too troublesome to travel with the other accused as per the jail and escort party facilities. There is always a long queue of patients in the hospital and they are not able to reach the doctor on time. Whenever they are examined, further follow up is not possible. All this is having a very bad effect on their health. Let us tell you that in the FIR lodged on the complaint of Canara Bank against the defunct Jet Airways, it was alleged that it had sanctioned credits and loans worth Rs 848.86 crore to Jet Airways (India) Limited, out of which Rs 538.62 crore is outstanding. .
