Mumbai (Best Hindu News): Financial services conglomerate IIFL Group is organizing IIFL Jeeto Ahimsa Run on April 2 in 65 cities of India and 23 countries with the aim of registering its name in the Guinness Book of World Records.
The company said in a statement released here today that this is the biggest run of its kind to be held for peace and non-violence. The run is being organized by the women’s wing of Jeeto (Jain International Trade Organization) and IIFL, apart from volunteers of Jeeto and supporters of peace and non-violence across the world.
To participate in IIFL Jeeto Ahimsa Run online registration can be done. IIFL Jeeto Ahimsa Run aims to raise awareness to stop fighting and build a better world and establish peace and nonviolence around us by defeating hatred.
He said that ‘Ahimsa’ means forgiveness, positivity, universal love, strength and brotherhood. Non-violence is strength and in today’s difficult times we all need to come together and demonstrate this strength. There could be no better time for the IIFL Jeeto Ahimsa Run than just ahead of Mahavir Jayanti. On this day we all pay our homage to Lord Mahavira, the God of forgiveness. People of every gender, caste and age group can participate in this race. The idea of this race is collective strength and inclusion.
The run is supported by many public figures in India, and aims to encourage youth towards peace and non-violence from a young age, in order to build a future that has no place for war and violence.
