New Delhi, 08 December (Hindustan Reporter). Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said that India is moving towards becoming the third largest economy in the world. He said that our mission is clear to make India a developed nation with 10 times growth and a $35 trillion economy by 2047.
The Commerce Minister said this while addressing the 96th Annual General Meeting and Annual Conference of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) here on Friday. Goyal said that India is moving rapidly towards development. He reiterated the vision of ‘Amrit Kaal’, which aims to make India a developed nation by 2047, marking a turning point in the country’s global positioning.
Addressing the inaugural session, Goyal emphasized that Incredible India is gradually transforming into Indispensable India. This will be the journey of the next 25 years. He said that we are looking towards a self-reliant and self-reliant India – an India that is not only vocal for the local but an India that is global.
Earlier in another program, the Commerce Minister said that India will raise the issue with the European Union (EU) of its plan to impose carbon tax on some imported goods and will also oppose it if necessary. The Commerce Minister said in another program that India will raise the issue of CBAM in the meeting and we will find a solution to it.
