‘India is the world’s fastest growing economy’, Finance Minister said – We do not show dreams to people, we make them come true

The no-confidence motion is in its final stage. Today PM Narendra Modi is going to speak in the Lok Sabha. Amidst all this, the discussion on the third day was started by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. First he started speaking on the global economic situation. Speaking on the Indian economy, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman took a jibe at the previous UPA government. He said that during UPA rule, citizens should have got benefits and people are already getting benefits during NDA rule. Pointing out the difference between the UPA and the NDA government, Sitharaman said that earlier it used to be ‘milega’ and now it is mil gaya.

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that in 2013, Morgan Stanley included India in the list of five fragile economies of the world. India was declared a fragile economy. Today the same Morgan Stanley has upgraded India and given a higher rating. He said that in 9 years, due to the policies of our government, the economy has picked up and there has been economic growth – despite Covid. Today, we are the fastest growing economy in the world. He said that India is in a position to be optimistic and positive about its future development. Targeting the Congress, he said that words like ‘banega, milega’ are not in vogue now. What are people using nowadays? ‘Bone, met, arrived.’

The BJP leader said that during UPA people used to say ‘Bijli aayegi’, now people say ‘Bijli aa gayi’. They said ‘gas connection milega’, now ‘gas connection mil gaya’…they said airport ‘banega’, now airport ‘ban gaya’. He said that change comes through actual delivery, not through spoken words. You show dreams to people. We make their dreams come true. We believe in empowering all and appeasement of none. Attacking the opposition, he said the public brought no-confidence motions against the UPA in 2014 and 2019 and defeated them. Same situation will happen in 2024 also. The Home Minister said yesterday, what is the need to change the name of UPA?… There is amazing unity among them.
