The price of high speed diesel in Pakistan is currently Rs 295 per litre. That is, the price of diesel in Pakistan is six rupees more than in India. High speed diesel is used in agriculture sector along with transport. That’s why all-round inflation can increase rapidly in its price.
Price has not changed since 10 months
After Russia’s attack on Ukraine, the price of crude oil reached $ 139 per barrel in March last year. However, it has declined in recent times. Oil marketing companies in India last changed the price of petrol and diesel in April last year. In May, the Center had cut excise duty on petrol and diesel. Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri had also said recently that the losses of petroleum companies have not yet been recovered. ICICI Securities had said in a report that oil marketing companies made a profit of Rs 10 per liter on the sale of petrol in the third quarter. On the other hand, the loss on diesel came down to Rs 6.5 per litre.
