Northern Railway General Manager Shobhan Chaudhary has given information in this regard. He said that apart from these 34 trains, additional coaches will be added to the existing 69 trains. Overall, Northern Railway will provide 5.5 lakh additional seats in view of the increase in passenger movement during the festive season.

These special trains run to major destinations across the country like Delhi, New Delhi, Anand Vihar, Patna, Chapra, Jogbani, Saharsa, Jaynagar, Katihar, Guwahati, Darbhanga, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Barauni, Raxaul, Muzaffarpur, Gaya, Lucknow, Kolkata, Sri Lanka. Mata Vaishno Devi will connect Katra, Amritsar, Saharanpur and Ambala. Northern Railway has advised prospective passengers to get details of the special train from its social media handles and inquiry offices. According to Chaudhary, due to increased demand during this period, additional arrangements have been made.

At the same time, Northern Railway on Wednesday advised people traveling during the festive season to reach the stations 15 to 20 minutes before the departure of their trains to avoid incidents like overcrowding and stampede. Speaking to reporters, Northern Railway General Manager Shobhan Chaudhary said that if people come early, special waiting areas will be earmarked for their waiting and this will help in reducing the pressure on platforms with limited space. Choudhary said that Northern Railway has made arrangements for crowd management and queue control.
He said that we will deploy a large number of security personnel at the stations to control the crowd and guide the passengers.
