Joins as Lead Member. Along with this, M/s Prakash Asphaltings & Toll Highways (India) Ltd. as a consortium member. is included.
how many years lease is available
The lease period of the commercial development at Habibganj railway station is for 45 years. Along with this, the operation and maintenance of the railway station is also with the private party at present. Its total duration is eight years. These include a three-year construction period and a subsequent five-year period.
Eight railway stations are being redeveloped
The Indian Railway Station Development Corporation is currently redeveloping eight railway stations. These include Chandigarh, Habibganj near Bhopal, Shivajinagar near Pune, Bijwasan near New Delhi, Anand Vihar near New Delhi, Surat in Gujarat, SAS Nagar (Mohali) in Punjab and Gandhinagar in Gujarat.
What facilities will be available at these stations
Private stations have been claimed to have facilities like world class railway stations. These include restaurants, shopping stores, catering shops and parking. Apart from this, some other facilities are also mentioned separately for women passengers. The emphasis has been on renewable energy at these stations. Along with this, special arrangements will be made for rain water harvesting at these stations.
Now the name of Habibganj has changed
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated it in November 2021 when the redevelopment work of Habibganj railway station was completed. At the same time the name of Habibganj Railway Station has been changed to Rani Kamlapati Railway Station. Rani Kamalapati was a Gond queen who was married to Nizam Shah, the king of Ginnorgarh. She was one of the 7 wives of Nizam Shah.
