Indian Railways News: Amar Prakash Dwivedi Eastern Railway (Eastern Railway) has been appointed as the new General Manager. He has taken over his post. Mr. Dwivedi, a 1987 batch Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE) service, assumed his charge on Sunday (May 1, 2023). Prior to this, he was the Chief Administrative Officer (Construction) of East Coast Railway.
Has also served in South Eastern Railway and Kolkata Metro Railway
After completing his B.Tech degree in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi in the year 1987 Amar Prakash Dwivedi Served on many posts in Indian Railways. Apart from Chief Engineer (Construction) in Eastern Railway, he also served in South Eastern Railway and Kolkata Metro Railway.
Amar Prakash Dwivedi has been ED in PSU of Railway Board
Amar Prakash Dwivedi also worked as Executive Director in Public Sector Units (PSU) of Railway Board. Mr. Dwivedi has taken training in high speed transport in France. He achieved many achievements during his service in East Coast Railway.
Amar Prakash as CAO (Construction) in East Coast Railway
When Mr. Dwivedi was the Chief Administrative Officer (Construction) of East Coast Railway, ECR set a record for laying new railway lines and doubling of railway lines.
IRCTC’s IPO came during his tenure only.
As Executive Director of PSU in Railway Board, he did many new works. The IPO of the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) came during his tenure. IRCON, RITES and RVNL were founded by him only, with the help of which the public sector units of Railways moved on the path of development.
Received award for outstanding service
