In Henley’s Annual Private Wealth Migration Report, such people have been kept in the category of ultra rich, who are able to invest at least one million dollars or Rs 8.2 crore in any other place. This investment includes things like one’s assets, cash or shares. Liabilities are not included in this. If the data presented in Henley’s report for the year 2023 proves to be true, India will be the second country in the world after China, from where most of the ultra-wealthy people will leave their homeland and shift to another country.
Rich can migrate from these countries including India
The Henley report states that the most preferred countries for the wealthy to leave India this year could be Australia, the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, the US and Switzerland. It has also been said in the report that in the year 2023, China, India, Britain, Russia and Brazil are the five countries from where the maximum migration of the rich can take place.
Total more than 3.44 lakh rich in India
According to the data presented in the media, by the end of the year 2022, India was included in the list of top 10 rich countries of the world and with this it was occupying the 10th position. According to Henley’s report, at present the total number of wealthy people in India is 3,44,600. Of these, there are about 1078 such people, whose total assets are more than $ 100 million. Apart from this, there are 123 people from India whose wealth is more than $1 billion or Rs 8,200 crore.
