IndiGrid had signed a share purchase agreement for acquisition of 100 per cent shareholding and economic interest in Khargone Transmission Limited in one or more tranches from Sterlite Power Transmission Limited, one of the sponsors of IndiGrid, on January 21, 2023.
New Delhi. Infrastructure investment trust India Grid Trust (IndiGrid) will acquire Khargone Transmission for an enterprise value of approximately Rs 1,497.5 crore. The company said in a communication sent to BSE on Monday that the deal will be for an amount of about Rs 1,497.5 crore in cash. It said IndiGrid had signed a share purchase agreement for the acquisition of 100 per cent shareholding and economic interest in Khargone Transmission Limited in one or more tranches from Sterlite Power Transmission Limited, one of the sponsors of IndiGrid, on January 21, 2023.
According to the information, completion of the acquisition will be subject to obtaining unitholders’ consent, regulatory and other relevant approvals as well as fulfillment of contractual obligations.
