Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Saturday called for building an international network of mentors, investors and entrepreneurs to strengthen the global startup ecosystem.
Hyderabad. Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Saturday called for building an international network of mentors, investors and entrepreneurs to strengthen the global startup ecosystem. Addressing a meeting of Startup20, a G20 partnership group held here via video conference, Goyal said that this international network should work to support and inspire startups.
He said that this arrangement should facilitate exchange of ideas, best practices and funding mechanism and promote cooperation in research and development. He stressed on the collective responsibility to develop the startup ecosystem in all parts of the world.
Goyal said that India, as the host country of the G20 summit, is proud to have highlighted the progress and potential of the global startup ecosystem. He said that for the first time India’s G20 Presidency has set up a Startup 20 group as part of India’s special emphasis on innovation.
